"Being a First Responder is more than a job. It's an identity"

I was on duty in upstate New York during the events of September 11, 2001. That day forever changed the lives of First Responders everywhere. For me, it inspired a passion to become a counselor, and serve firefighters, police officers, and medical personnel who are working on the front lines of our communities, keeping us safe.
